Okay okay okay. It’s been pretty well-established that I love fall. And we ALL know I love all things warm and contained in a mug. So, when I figured out how to make Instant Pot apple cider, it was like the heavens opened up. This stuff is SO fresh, spicy, and comforting that I could drink it every day for the rest of my life. Plus, it’s amazing with a little apple pie moonshine in it.
It pains me to pay $4 for a gallon of flavorless apple cider from the grocery store when I’ve been spoiled by Washington and Virginia apple orchards who made it themselves (and then turned it into apple cider donuts, but that’s another recipe for another day). Making it at home, though, means that I can alter the spices to my liking, while upping or lowering the orange based on how sweet the apples I’m using are. Instant Pot apple cider can take an hour or all night, depending on which setting you use, so you can either have it super fast or wake up to delicious, fresh hot apple cider (and an incredible-smelling home) in the morning!
