Y’all, I firmly believe that one of the greatest pleasures in life is fruit dip. I love fruit, but you add some fluffy, sweet yumminess on top and I’m in heaven. My kiddos, though, can’t have traditional fruit dip. Cream cheese? Nope. Whipped cream? Nope. Milk? Nope. Needless to say, it’s tough to find substitutes for some foods.
For Mason’s birthday party, though, I was bound and determined not to have him miss out on anything. So, I experimented and came up with a delicious wild orange dairy-free fruit dip that is seriously to die for. I’d eat it every day, even though I can have dairy. It’s that good. Plus, you have added benefits from the local honey (it can help with allergies!) and the wild orange essential oil (a gentle detox and it wakes you up)! When you make it, make sure you use only metal, glass, or ceramic tools and bowls. The wild orange essential oil can break down petrochemicals (plastics) and the last thing you want is broken down plastic in your dairy-free fruit dip!
As much as we all talk about wanting healthier options for snacks or dessert, many of us don’t bother to try very hard. This recipe, though, lets you have the best of both worlds! What are your favorite “best of both worlds” foods? Anything you simply can’t live without? Let me know on Facebook!
